SYDNEY Pride Trivia Night at NFC with Drag Race Star Hannah Conda

Every so often National Fashion College hosts in-school events for all the students to get together outside of a class room setting. This time around we had an exciting Pride Trivia Night featuring the incredible drag queen HANNAH CONDA! This icon hosted the trivia, reading out all the questions while adding touches of her hilarious sense of humour, truly embodying the queen of drag she is!

If you’re unfamiliar with Hannah, (I mean who wouldn’t know her), she is an Australian drag performer most known for competing on RuPaul’s Drag Race, and is globally recognised for the incredible performances she puts on. She also made an appearance on an episode of Keeping up with the Kardashians, and a few more silver screen moments!

Okay, so now that we’re up to date, the NFC students (including me) got to meet her in person! I have photo evidence if you think I’m telling porky pies, so don’t even. She is the sweetest, most welcoming and funny person you could meet. As soon as she entered the room, she completely lifted the vibe and created a very memorable night for us all.

So, what actually happened at the event? As soon as we walked into campus the music was pumping and the vibes were already high! We all gathered in the common room, chatting, laughing and talking about how excited we were to meet Hannah. We then made our way into the classroom, and to our surprise there were snacks, lollies, drinks and most importantly our own personalised NFC handheld fans! I mean duh, we’re at National Fashion College — of course everything we do is extra. Following this, we started the trivia. The questions regarded the fashion industry, along with icons and events within the queer community. There was actually an equal first this time, where two of my intelligent classmates took the win, so shout out to them!

I cannot thank the NFC team enough for putting together this amazing night, we all had such an incredible time and I really cannot wait for the next event that comes up — I will definitely be there! And a huge shout out to Hannah Conda for coming in and truely being the star of the show!
