Our course cannot be studied anywhere else globally. Description To apply, students must first book an appointment. You can choose a Campus Tour, Phone, or Virtual Zoom Appointment by clicking here. This allows us to understand your goals and ensure the course is the perfect fit for you.
Students must have completed Year 10 or equivalent studies. Those wishing to exit school early will need to provide a letter of approval from their Careers Advisor or School Administration, along with a letter from a parent or legal guardian.
Alternatively, students can study with NFC while completing their final years of High School. This option allows you to balance your High School commitments with your fashion studies.
There are no ATAR requirements to study at National Fashion College.

The enrolment process is simple!
Step 1: Simply book in a campus tour, zoom or phone appointment, or attend one of our Open Days. You can book here: https://www.nationalfashioncollege.com/appointments
Step 2: Complete an enrolment form (provided to you following your appointment / Open Day attendance) and email it to our Admissions Team on hello@nationalfashioncollege.com. An Enrolment Deposit is also required to secure your position.
Step 3: Our Admissions Team will confirm your Enrolment and send you information to prepare for Orientation Day and your commencement!

Students can commence their studies in one of four intakes each year – February, May, July and October.

The Advanced Certificate of Fashion is divided into four terms - Communications, Creative Direction, Retail Management, and Business Management. You’ll learn everything from PR, digital marketing, styling, buying, art direction and branding to entrepreneurship, leadership, and personal branding.

All Teachers (or as we refer, Experts) at National Fashion College currently work in the Fashion Industry. A pre-requisite of ours, is that each trainer has a minimum of 10+ years’ experience in the industry. Ensuring that our students are being taught by leaders with an abundance of experience.

No. National Fashion College focuses on creativity, collaboration, and building your professional portfolio - not traditional exams. Your learning is assessed through Creative Projects that reflect real industry work.

Students complete 4 x Major Projects throughout their studies with us – one for each term of studies. Major Projects are an amazing opportunity for you to showcase your ideas and respond to a brief in a creative way, just as you will when you step into a role in the industry. Major projects have been designed as a resource to take along to interviews and show potential employers how you execute compelling ideas!

All National Fashion College students, regardless of their choice of study (On-Campus or Online) have the opportunity to assist at Australian Fashion Week (Sydney), Melbourne Fashion Week, Melbourne Fashion Festival, Brisbane Fashion Festival and Adelaide Fashion Week.

Applications for our annual program to New York and London Fashion Week are exclusive to On-Campus Students. Attendance in the program is subject to acceptance, and all enrolled students will have this explained on Orientation Day. The program comes at an additional cost to the course fee.

All internships are organised by our Careers Team at NFC and tailored to your area of interest - from fashion PR and styling to visual merchandising and journalism.
On-Campus students have access to unlimited internships throughout their studies with us! On-Campus students undertake an average of between 4 – 8 internships throughout the year.
Online students have access to one internship throughout their year of study, which is organised at a time that suits their other commitments throughout the duration of the course.

Currently, our Careers Team work with over 600+ businesses and creatives across Australia. Recently, we have placed students into experiences with the likes of VOGUE Australia, Louis Vuitton, Bonds, Harper’s BAZAAR, Meshki, Christian Dior, Showpo, Camilla & Marc and DISSH.

Students gain hands-on experience across fashion shoots, events, runway shows, media and influencer launches, and marketing activations. On-Campus students receive daily opportunities for Work Experience, while Online students complete one tailored internship in their local area.

Internships are structured placements within a fashion business or brand, designed to give you in-depth experience. Work Experience opportunities are shorter one-off experiences such as photoshoots, events or runway shows, offered exclusively to On-Campus students.

Each week, two industry guests join our exclusive networking sessions — one in Sydney (Thursdays, 6:30–7:30pm) and one in Melbourne (Wednesdays, 6:30–7:30pm).

Yes! The course is designed with flexibility in mind. On-Campus students attend one four-hour class per week, while Online students study two evenings a week - making it easy to balance work, study, and other commitments.

In your final term, Business Management, you’ll learn how to build a personal brand, prepare for interviews, and get personalised resume support. You’ll graduate with a strong portfolio, real-world experience, and connections across the fashion industry.
All graduates have lifetime access to the Graduate Portal, which is updated weekly with 30-60 career opportunities across Australia. Our team are always happy to be references for our students, and provide any additional support during the recruitment phase.

Orientation Day is the perfect way to meet your Educators and NFC Team, connect with fellow students, and get a full overview of what to expect during your studies, internships, and Fashion Week opportunities. Orientation Day is typically held a week prior to commencing study at NFC.
