Inside Sunshades Eyewear HQ Sydney: Student Insights & Key Takeaways

After our recent excursion to Sunshades Eyewear’s HQ in Sydney, we asked the students who attended about their key takeaways from the experience. Check out what attendees Eva, Sienna and Charlotte had to say:

EVA: I’m so grateful for the opportunity to visit Sunshades HQ. Hamish was incredible. He was super welcoming, happily answering every question with depth. Seeing the behind the scenes is one thing, but having someone educate us as we toured the space was amazing! After the experience, I feel as though I learned many new things and I feel confident enough to explain what I have learnt.  Thank you again to NFC, Hamish, and Sunshades HQ team!

SIENNA: Having the opportunity to spend time at Sunshades Eyewear was an amazing experience as a fashion student. Having in-depth conversations with Hamish was insightful and very interesting. We enjoyed a tour of the building, with Hamish showcasing each aspect of the business. It was great to see what happens behind-the-scenes at a world-wide company, viewing the ranges of luxury and standard components that ultimately make up the company. This experience at Sunshades Eyewear was welcoming and educational, thank you so much for the opportunity and I look forward to any potential future relations.

CHARLOTTE: Hamish was so lovely and knew the answer to every question we could possibly ask, and gave in-depth responses to everything! From how polarised lenses work and the different ways to make sunglasses, to tips on starting your own business and how the design process at Sunshades works. Learning about each step of sunglasses creation including design, production, licensing and selling was fascinating and helped all of us gain a new perspective on the industry.
