Fashion Student Dreams Come True IN NFC’s Styling & Content Studio
WODS BY NFC STUDENT, CLARICE NGUYEN
From the very first moment I set foot on the NFC campus, I was captivated. Yes, the beautifully curated aesthetic of the campus and the feeling of driving into this dedicated fashion space were breathtaking. But what truly stole my heart? The Styling and Content Studio!
A creative haven, this studio is exclusively for NFC students, and the best part is, it’s completely available to use. I couldn’t wait to step into the studio to grow my portfolio. Inside, there are racks of styling pieces: clothes, jackets, sunglasses, hats, shoes, you name it! There’s even a selection of props like fashion magazines and designer shopping bags, perfect for adding a touch of fun to every shoot.
Reserving the studio couldn’t be easier. A quick email is all it takes to secure a time slot, the starting point for what often turns into a creative, magical moment. During my Term 2 Creative Directions project, the goal was to put our artistry to the test and showcase our creative vision. This was the perfect opportunity for me to bring together all the skills I had been learning weekly. I invited a few friends to step into my world and become my models.
The NFC studio is a dream to work in, fully equipped with professional lighting that ranges from cool to warm tones, multiple backdrop colours, a mirror, and a changing room. For my shoot, I rolled in with a suitcase packed with styling pieces, ready to build the look I had imagined. We set up, cranked up some upbeat music, styled outfits, and laughed our way through the process. Between capturing the perfect shots and enjoying the vibe, it was one of those moments where creative passion and friendship collided.
Looking back, those hours in the studio remain one of my top highlights as an NFC student. It’s more than just a room filled with clothes and lights, but it’s a space where ideas become tangible and creative visions come alive. It’s where I truly began my journey as a fashion stylist, and where I created not only a portfolio but also memories that I’ll always carry with me.
